Medical Collection Day For Households

Takes place the third Saturday in April and October - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

NEVER FLUSH or pour unused medicine down the drain. Bring it to the Medicine Collection Day.

  • Help protect Lake Michigan
  • Prevent childhood poisonings
  • Reduce substance abuse

You Can Bring:

  • Prescription medication and over the counter medication
  • Ointments
  • Sprays and inhalers
  • Vials
  • Pet Medications

Keep all medication in the original bottles. Cross out your name, but leave the name of the medication visible. Put all medication in a sealed bag.

Do NOT Bring:

  • Needles/sharps
  • Illegal drugs
  • Biohazardous materials
  • Personal care products (shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, etc.)

Medication Drop Boxes

Many local Racine County law enforcement agencies have Medication Drop Boxes for residents to dispose of unwanted medications including the Caledonia Police Department open 24/7 at 6900 Nicholson Rd.
